01 · WHAT IT IS
What it is.
Nail art at SMYN is an add-on, priced honestly: per design, from £5 a nail. One chrome accent costs a few pounds; a full set of complex designs costs what the time costs. You decide how far to take it.
Everything is done over a fresh manicure, pedicure or extension set and sealed beneath the final gel layer, so the art lasts as long as the colour — three to four weeks, not three washing-ups. Chrome, french and cat’s eye take about 20 minutes; ombre and complex hand-painted work about 30.
Bring references. A screenshot, a fabric, someone else’s nails — we’ll tell you straight what will translate to your length and shape, and what won’t.

The manicure first.
Art needs a sound base, so your Russian manicure, builder gel or extensions come first.

Painted, blended or magnetised nail by nail, each design cured before the next step touches it.

A final layer locks the work in. It leaves with the manicure, not before.

05 · GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
Add it when you book your manicure so the diary allows for it — each design adds 20 to 30 minutes. If inspiration strikes in the chair, we'll fit in what the schedule honestly allows.
As long as the manicure under it — three to four weeks. It's sealed beneath the final gel layer, so it can't chip off separately.
Usually, and we'll be straight when we can't. Some designs need length or a different shape to work; we'll offer the version that suits your nails rather than a poor copy.
It depends on the designs — from £5 a nail for simple work up to £30 for complex pieces. Most clients land somewhere between two accent nails and a full french. We'll price it exactly at consultation, before any brush touches a nail.
Chrome is a fine pigment burnished over a cured gel base, then sealed under top coat. That's how the mirror and glazed-donut finishes get their depth — and why they last, unlike chrome polish from a bottle.
