Deep Cleansing Facial
The thorough one. Steam, careful manual extraction and a calming finish — seventy minutes that leave skin looking properly clean.
01 · WHAT IT IS
What it is.
A deep cleansing facial is the working facial: double cleanse, gentle exfoliation, steam to soften the skin, and then the part that machines can’t replicate — patient, precise manual extraction of congestion, done by a beautician who takes her time because rushing this step is how skin gets upset.
It finishes calm: a soothing mask, and care chosen for your skin. The aim is skin that looks clearer, feels smoother and behaves better in the days after — a cosmetic treatment, thoroughly done, with no grander promises attached.
For blemish-prone skin between full facials, there’s a 40-minute calming session with Darsonval — a fine high-frequency current many clients find helps the look of active congestion — finished with a calming mask. New skin, or not sure what to book? Start with the £15 consultation and get a plan instead of a guess.
02 · WHY IT WORKS
Why clients choose it.
Extraction done properly.
By hand, after steam, with patience — the difference between clear-looking skin and a red face.
Clearer-looking skin.
Congestion dealt with, texture smoothed, the whole face looking cleaner and brighter.
A calm finish.
Every session ends with soothing care, so you leave settled rather than glowing pink.
A between-facials option.
The 40-minute Darsonval session keeps blemish-prone skin looked after midway through the month.

03 · YOUR VISIT
Your visit, step by step.
Consultation.
We look at your skin properly under good light, ask about your routine, and agree what today's session should prioritise.
Preparation.
Double cleanse and gentle exfoliation, then steam to soften the skin and ready it for extraction.
The treatment.
Careful manual extraction where it's needed — unhurried, precise, and only as much as your skin will thank us for — followed by a calming mask.
Aftercare.
Skip make-up for the rest of the day if you can, keep it simple for 48 hours, and wear SPF. We'll tell you when to book the next one; for most skins it's every four to six weeks.
04 · PRICES
Prices.
If you're unsure which facial suits your skin, book the consultation first — it's the honest starting point.
05 · GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
Some pinkness where extraction happened is normal and usually settles within a few hours — the calming finish exists precisely to minimise it. We'd suggest not booking it the morning of an event; the day before is fine, two days before is ideal.
It's the facial most of our blemish-prone clients book, and the Darsonval session keeps things looked after between visits. It's cosmetic care for the look of the skin — for persistent or severe breakouts, a GP or dermatologist is the right first stop, and we'll say so to your face.
Every four to six weeks suits most skins — roughly one skin cycle. Congestion-prone skin sometimes starts closer together, then spaces out. Your beautician will give you a straight recommendation, including 'less often' if that's the truth.
It's a facial, not an ordeal. After steam, well-done extraction feels like brief, localised pressure — uncomfortable for seconds, not minutes. Anything stubborn gets left alone rather than forced; skin remembers being fought with.
Thirty minutes with a beautician who examines your skin and tells you plainly what to book — this facial, a peel, LED, or a routine change that costs nothing. It's £15 and it saves people booking the wrong treatment.
