Podiatric Pedicure

01 · WHAT IT IS
What it is.
A podiatric pedicure is a medical-style treatment, not a cosmetic one. It deals with what a standard pedicure works around: cracked heels, built-up calluses, thickened or damaged nails, and ingrown toenails.
The work is done dry, with an e-file and instruments autoclaved between every appointment. Hard skin is reduced layer by layer, problem nails are cleaned and shaped, ingrown edges are relieved. It takes 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours — feet that have waited a while deserve more than a buff and polish.

03 · YOUR VISIT
Your visit, step by step.
Consultation.
We examine both feet — skin, nails, pressure points — and agree what today's session can fix and what needs a repeat visit.
Preparation.
Any old polish or gel comes off; the skin stays dry, ready for precise e-file work.
The treatment.
Callus and hard-skin reduction, nail-by-nail clean-up, ingrown relief where needed — then shape and your chosen finish.
Aftercare.
We'll tell you exactly what to do at home — usually a balm, better-fitting shoes, and a follow-up in four to six weeks if the problem was long-standing.

05 · GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
A standard pedicure is cosmetic: shape, cuticles, colour. The podiatric pedicure treats the underlying problems — cracked heels, calluses, ingrown and thickened nails — with dry, medical-style technique. If your feet hurt, this is the one.
It shouldn't. Hard skin has no nerve endings, and ingrown relief is done gently — most clients describe relief, not pain. If anything feels sensitive, say so and we adjust.
We can relieve it: clean the edge, ease the pressure, and fit a tamponade — £5 per nail — so the nail regrows without digging in. A severely infected nail needs a podiatrist or GP first, and we'll tell you if that's what we're looking at.
Nothing you bring in will surprise us. Neglected feet are this treatment's entire purpose — that's why it exists. If you'd rather talk before committing, book the £15 consultation.
Yes — the podiatric pedicure with gel polish is £95, or £100 including removal of old gel. The treatment is the same; the finish is up to you.
Long-standing problems usually want a follow-up in four to six weeks; after that, most feet settle into a standard pedicure rhythm. The goal is to graduate you to the gel pedicure, not to keep you here.
